INTRODUCTION TO SUPERVISION

Course Description

This is a four-day series of eight half-day classes designed to provide new supervisors or leads with the skill building tools to master the job of supervision. Learn how to make the transition between an employee to a supervisor by developing skills of effective communications, problem solving, customer service, teambuilding, coaching, and leadership. Two of the classes can be detailed to focus on your organization's procedures/policies and safety issues.

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Apply the skill sets necessary to be a more effective supervisor

  • Practice making optimal decisions with a customer service focus

  • Maintain teamwork in your employees through collaboration, building trust and understanding your team's goals/purpose and accountability

  • Understand personnel procedures, polices and the importance of workplace safety
