ETHICS AND INTEGRITY

Course Description

Workplace standards, professional requirements or social needs can pull today’s leaders in many directions. This can create enormous pressure to overlook or bend personal values and beliefs to “fit-in”, even to meet goals or performance targets. We’ve all experienced forms of this conflict, from skewing the contents of a report or omitting uncomfortable facts, to job requirements that go against personal beliefs, or turning our back when office supplies seem to be disappearing. What is acceptable behavior? How can the lines of right and wrong be made clearer? Why can’t we have it both ways?

The goal of this class is to show how we can have it both ways … to explore the necessary values, ethical behavior, and standards of your organization. Employees bring their own personal values to work. If you are sometimes confused when juggling personal feelings or values with required actions, this 3-˝ hour class offers a positive boost to your management and supervisory skills.

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Apply proven personal and professional values and standards

  • Recognize and encourage good ethics, integrity and morality

  • Practice the principles of ethical power

  • Focus on and understand key elements of character and personality

  • Recognize leaders and followers for more effective management

  • Apply 10 guiding principles for managing ethics
